Meetoos Forest Products – Amisk Atik

Meetoos Forest products conducted a tree planting project to provide OH & S Training and practical skills in tree planting for PBCN Band members in pursuit of future tree planting services for Amisk-Atik within the defined area of their Term Supply License (TSL). PAGC as a project partner coordinated the delivery of the OH & S training to meet the training requirements for tree planting contracts.

PA Model Forest/Forest Communities Program

PAGC along with other organizations form a partnership called the Prince Albert Model Forest. The Vision Statement of the Model Forest is “We envision the Prince Albert Model Forest as a landscape demonstrating the spirit of Sustainable Forest Management through the power of working together”: Ma Maw Wechehetowin – working together/ helping each other. PAGC is represented on the PAMF Executive by the Forestry Program Manager as the Vice President. The PAMF is a non – profit partnership of forest users who are committed to enhancing forest sustainability through research, education and the equitable sharing of forest resources.
