Housing

Our housing team has been very busy with inspections, advising, training and development within our First Nations Communities. The Housing services we provide are:
  • INAC Housing Inventory which are done every three years in all the communities.
  • Provide Training and Capacity Development for the First Nations Housing Coordinators pending on funding.
  • Attend meetings throughout the year at First Nations Communities related to housing issues.
  • Provide, assist and advise on any housing issues within their housing programs and services.
  • Provide orientation for First Nations Chief, Councillors, Housing Committee and New Housing Coordinators.


    • In March, we hosted two workshops for all the coordinators, the Training consisted of Administration, Section 95 budgeting and operating, RRAP criteria, invitation to bids, and application process, tendering and contracting process. This gave them the opportunity to understand how housing must effectively work in their communities.
